Working with social commentators, futurists and theologians, the Synod Leadership Team has drafted a new draft Strategic Vision for the Uniting Church Queensland Synod.  While honouring the previous Navigational Framework drawn up in 2002 this vision addresses the incredibly complex and confronting aspects of the world in which we are called to serve.

This vision deliberately focuses on values and principles, and avoids detailed plans and blueprints. Its specific intent is to encourage creative and courageous initiatives in ministry and mission that are shaped in response to the actual context within which they will take place.

At this stage the Strategic Vision is in draft format for comment and conversation and will be finalised for presentation to the meeting of the Synod to be held at Carrara in September 2005.
